Pink Skull - Zeppelin 3

A distinctly frightening rarity in today’s music scene

The real talent in this album is found in its shear simplicity. Going through loops of diversity exceeding all expectations through its vivid beat progression. Not only do the Pink Skull’s supply an intense amount of suspense, when the moment comes to show us what we’ve been waiting for, they deliver. It’s almost like floating on a psychedelic cloud the way this album can lift you to new heights.

Depending on your mindset, this can be the dance album of your decade. Also depending on your mindset, Zeppelin 3 can become like an oil spill leaking into your mind changing the way things appear.

When you think you’ve heard the core of what this album is about, you’re kicked in the groin by the hardcore underground hip hop vibe of “Cry For Meee.” Then again, you’re also taken somewhere else mentally where all you’re left with is escalating silence halfway through the track “Zing Zong”, only to be greeted by the sounds of ocean waves and miscellaneous notes and tones like long lost friends. I think circa 1968, Jimmy Hendrix meets the Paul Van Dyke of our 2000’s if they went on a quest through unmarked territory and met Immortal Technique. They’d have absolutely no destination-and that’s the best part.
