The Animal Collective took to the stage at the Henry Fonda Theater in a sherbet colored smoke. With long interludes, complex vocals perfected in a live performance and a whole lot of ear-pounding beats, the New York based band did something to the Los Angeles crowd that made us all a bit different inside and out. Strawberry Jam, the band's newest album, sends chills down the spine – especially live. Opening with Peace Bone and playing for about an hour, it was an intense show that managed to make us all a bit deaf. As a side note, we salute all of you who managed to dance the entire show while on acid.
