Isaac Lekach tried to fool the audience with a fake moustache, but he abandoned it when he couldn't hide his deep baritone voice. Acute, playing in their hometown at the Troubadour, were a few blocks from their house. A few synthesizer tests, a beat of the drum and the band jumped into their set. What a wall of sound four guys can make. Absent was the strings section, but that's nothing a synth can't take care of. They played a few songs from their new album "Arms Around a Stranger" and what better way to honor the other band that plays like an electronic orchestra than by ending their show with "Mr. Blue Sky." It's not a cover if you make it your own. Well, it's your own if you can get the sober people to drink.
