Smashed Chair: What’s with the weather?

Bless the Fall: It’s pretty nice. (It’s close to 1:20 pm and it’s about 102 degrees). We’re from Phoenix. It’s dry, normally it’s like 110 and 115 over there.

SC: What are your goals for Warped Tour?

Bless the Fall: To win over every single fan that’s on the tour, so we can bring 18,000 kids everywhere we go. We just want to get through it, because we’ve heard a lot of bands just drop out.

SC: What are some of the bands that you’re looking forward to?

Bless the Fall: Let’s go check out The Used. (Someone says that The Used had to cancel for the rest of the tour). Are you serious? Aww.. man. Well I still want to see Spill Canvas, Circa Survive. The singer from Circa is amazing. He sounds just like he does on the radio.

SC: How’s your label, Science records, treating you?

Bless the Fall: It’s getting better. It’s a ball. It’s rolling and getting bigger and bigger. Hurley did a lot for us, but they’ve been awesome.

SC: Do you guys think it makes you “hardcore” to travel in a van?

Bless the Fall: It’s a badge of pride. It’s a little tough. People are like “Oh man, you’re on a van.” But we don’t want to see like we’re better than other bands, but we rented out a couple of bunks of My American Heart’s bus. We trade off every two weeks, two members. So I don’t want to seem all hardcore and then you see us getting on a bus.

SC: How do you guys keep sane while on tour?

Bless the Fall: Sometimes we have our own fight club sessions.

SC: But you broke the first rule of Fight Club?

Bless the Fall: We have different rules. We try to talk about it as much as possible, so that way as many people can come up to us and punch us in the face.
