Smashed Chair

Sabertooth Tiger –Combine The Subhumans in speed and the crazy, maniacal ramblings of Thurston Moore from Sonic Youth and you have Sabortooth Tiger, the guys said they were going to play "Argentina" and that it's a song about firing a boss. Following up the Los Angeles band was Nation Blue from Australia, who didn't let anyone catch their breath after Sabortooth Tiger was done.

Upsilon Acrux – The complex synth works of Upsilon Acrux savagely took the crowds attention away from any other lyrical band up until that point. A lot of backwards guitar playing, some mathematical scales and a whole lot of keyboard action, made this Los Angeles band stand out.

Love or Perish – Making their way to the West Coast would have been enough. But Love or Perish couldn't have left it there, so instead they put on a visceral (that's visceral, because some of it just seemed out of the fucking air) show.

Hit Me Back – Familiar with the Los Angeles area, Hit Me Back are the drop to the floor, crazy ass thrash/Punk band that you want at your wedding. Or maybe just at the F*ck Yeah Fest. Awwww hell, your Quinceañera at least.

The Mae Shi – It's just another normal day for The Mae Shi when they take off their clothes on stage. "We do this all the time," the band from Los Angeles shouted, while putting on some matching shirts. These guys were one of the few bands at the F*ck Yeah Fest to get a lazy mosh pit going.

Toys that Kill – You've caught a show before where the band just doesn't give a shit about the people in the audience, right? You haven't?! Then you've never caught this band before. All jokes aside, The Citizen Abortion is a party album through and through.

The Fuse! – Quite possibly one of the few bands that won't be welcomed back to the Echo anytime soon. They thrashed the place, but they made everyone go crazy, so things balanced out in the end.

The Explosions – Headlining the first day were The Explosions, making the F*ck Yeah Fest one of their final West Coast stops. These fellows from Brooklyn put on an intense show to say the least. If you don't know much about this band, you owe it to yourself to look them up. Are we satisfied to have seen one of this band's last shows? See how many of their fans are pissed on MySpace to get the real answer
